What You’ll Do

• Provide post-anesthesia care for pediatric and adult patients in a high-volume surgical setting
• Monitor patients in pre-op, Phase I, and Phase II recovery areas
• Support patients undergoing regional anesthesia and special procedures
• Float to pediatric PACU as needed, maintaining flexibility in patient care
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and comfort
• Utilize equipment like Hoyer lifts, bladder scanners, and Accuvein during patient care
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:2, providing attentive post-op nursing care
• Support cases in multiple ORs across two floors with diverse surgical specialties

What You Need

• Valid Louisiana RN license or eligibility
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required
• At least 1 year of PACU or Pre/Post-Op nursing experience; critical care experience preferred
• Ability to float to pediatric PACU when necessary
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills
