PACU Registered Nurse – Pediatric & Adult Surgical Recovery – New Orleans, LA

What You’ll Do
  • Provide high-quality care to patients recovering from surgery in a busy PACU setting
  • Float to pediatric PACU as needed, supporting patients of all ages
  • Monitor patient statuses, manage vital signs, and respond to emergencies efficiently
  • Support pre-op, phase I, and phase II recovery activities
  • Operate and troubleshoot specialized equipment like Hoyer lifts, bladder scanners, and Accuvein
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including anesthesia and surgical staff
  • Document care in Epic EMR accurately and efficiently

What You Need
  • Active RN license in Louisiana or compact state
  • ACLS, BCLS, PALS certifications (current)
  • 1+ years of PACU or Pre/Post-Op nursing experience preferred
  • Ability to float to pediatric PACU and manage patients of all ages
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
