Provide comprehensive pain management and anesthesia expertise by evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients with acute and chronic pain, including procedural and perioperative care. The role involves direct clinical care, interventional procedures, documentation/compliance, and collaboration to support quality outcomes.
Patient Evaluation & Care: Perform thorough assessments (history, exam, diagnostics, risk assessment) and develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans. Manage complex pain conditions longitudinally with follow-up care and medication optimization.
Interventional Procedures: Perform image-guided pain interventions, including epidural steroid injections, facet/medial branch blocks, radiofrequency ablation, spinal cord stimulator trials/implants, and other fluoroscopic or ultrasound-guided nerve blocks and neuromodulation techniques.
Documentation & Compliance: Maintain timely, accurate EMR documentation and follow all applicable regulations, clinical guidelines, and controlled substance protocols.
Team Collaboration: Partner with physicians, NPs, behavioral health providers, and surgical teams; participate in pain conferences and team meetings as needed.
MD or DO from an accredited institution
Completion of an ACGME-accredited Anesthesiology residency
Pain Medicine fellowship preferred (or required, depending on practice needs)
Board certified/board eligible in Anesthesiology (and Pain Medicine, as applicable)
Unrestricted Arizona medical license
Proficiency with fluoroscopy and/or ultrasound-guided procedures
Strong communication and collaborative skills
