Pay: $16.00 per hour

Shift: Weekend Shift | Friday Sunday | 5: 00 AM 5: 30 PM

Position Overview
The Paint Prep Helper is responsible for preparing parts for painting by sanding, masking, and organizing materials for the paint process. This Paint Prep Helper role supports production by ensuring parts are properly prepped, tracked, and ready for coating. The ideal Paint Prep Helper is detail-oriented, dependable, and able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Required Experience & Skills
Ability to read and follow work orders, instructions, and sketches
Basic math skills and ability to follow written and verbal directions
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and overtime
Good communication and teamwork skills
Ability to safely operate pallet jacks and forklifts (certification preferred)
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Sand, strip, and mask parts to prepare for painting operations
Arrange parts on racks or tables for efficient workflow
Move parts through the paint process while maintaining traceability
Follow work orders and ensure parts meet preparation standards
Operate pallet jacks or forklifts as needed
Maintain a clean and organized paint and racking area
Handle customer products with care and attention
Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements
Support painters and production teams to meet daily goals
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in paint prep or manufacturing environments
Familiarity with 6S or organized shop practices
Forklift experience
Work Environment
Manufacturing/paint shop environment
Exposure to noise, chemicals, and industrial equipment
PPE required including respirators, eye, ear, and foot protection
Physically active role requiring standing and lifting up to 50 lbs
