Paint Line Technician - 2nd Shift

Work Schedule: 2nd Shift — Monday-Thursday 4:30pm-3am

Shift Premium: Additional $1.50 for each hour worked on 2nd shift

SUMMARY

The Paint Line Technician plays a critical role in the manufacturing process by preparing, hanging, and packaging metal parts to meet quality and production standards. This position requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary Functions

• Prepare metal parts for painting, including masking, cleaning, and inspection prior to processing.

• Hang metal parts of varying weights and sizes securely on a continuously moving paint line.

• Monitor parts throughout the paint process to ensure quality standards are met.

• Remove painted parts from the line once complete.

• Package finished parts accurately and safely for shipment.

• Maintain consistent productivity to keep pace with line speed and production goals.

• Follow all safety, quality, and operational procedures.

• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding workflow, quality issues, or equipment concerns.

• Safely operate basic hand tools and equipment as instructed.

• Maintain productivity while meeting quality standards and production requirements.

• Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and OSHA regulations.

• Support housekeeping efforts to keep work areas clean, organized, and safe.

• Promote teamwork and contribute to a positive, respectful workplace culture.

• Maintain punctual, regular, and reliable attendance.

• Perform other duties as assigned to support production needs.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Strong attention to detail, safety, and quality.

• Ability to work independently, as a team member, and in a floating/utility capacity as needed.

• Physical stamina to perform manual tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods of time.

• Ability to stand for 10–12 hours per shift and lift up to 50 pounds on a continuous basis.

• Strong work ethic and willingness to support team success across departments.
