Qualifications:
Urgent Request for Paint Mix Operators
Location: Madison, AL
Training Schedule for 1st 2 weeks: Monday thru Friday 7:00am to 3:30pm
After training will move to off-shift with $1 pay increase. Hours: 3:00pm to 11:30pm
Client plans to convert to full time after 90 days depending on performance. They are really looking for people who are committed with intention of long-term and eventually full time employment.
Manager does not want to conduct interviews. He wants 5 people selected and cleared to start on same day. (Hoping for 3/16 start)

Education:
High School Diploma or GED minimum required
Background: Must be able to pass a Background Check and Drug Test - no exceptions

Experience:
We would like candidates with at least 6 months experience in a Manufacturing environment. Forklift Driving experience is also a plus but not required. Candidates must be willing to be trained to drive Forklift.
Important: We need candidates who are dedicated and will show up to work on time and ready to work when scheduled.

Job Description:
The General Operator position at  Coating Systems in Huntsville, AL, is a full-time role focused on operating production equipment and ensuring the quality of coatings products. The operator will be trained in various production processes, including pre-mixing, material loading, filling, testing, and cleaning. Qualifications
High School Diploma Required
Must be able to pass a Background Check & Drug Screen (No Exceptions)
We are seeking candidates with at least 2 years Manufacturing (Plant, Industrial) experience
High School Diploma
Math and problem-solving; mechanical, numerical and verbal aptitude to learn our jobs quickly
Ability to be licensed to operate fork trucks
Demonstrated ability to demonstrate collaboration skills and work within self-managed team environment
Must be able to read and follow, weight fractions of ounces, and measure accurately by gallons, pints and ounces (good math skills)
Chemical plant/paint making experience
Able to demonstrate basic computer skills,
Prior experience operating fork trucks

Responsibilities:
Perform all duties in a safe working manner, following all of the Company safety policies and procedures.
Blend batch to designated formula.
Learn how to fill-off batches and fill batches.
Record all adjustments made to batches.
Upon completion of batch, ensure work area is cleaned up.
Follow batch fill-out instructions as they relate to filter/straining requirements, container requirements, agitation of material requirements, and labeling requirements.
Select approved batches to be filled by ship date or supervisors' instructions.
Set up filtering equipment per batch ticket instructions and operate filling equipment.
Operate PLC (Programmable Logic Controller).
Directly responsible for housekeeping and control of waste generation.
Operation of powered material handling equipment (PMHE) to move, store, load, and unload hazardous finished product(s).
Unloading and loading bulk.

Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities
Candidates will train on 1'st shift and after training will move to 2'nd shift (3:00pm to 11:30pm)
The successful candidate in an Operator position will be trained in all facets of production (pre-mixing and material loading for batches, filling product into shipping containers, distribution, testing, sampling, and cleaning) to learn these essential duties of the position
The incumbent must operate production equipment safely to ensure the highest quality and correct quantity in accordance with the production schedule, standard operating procedures and supervisory instructions
Position duties and responsibilities can change regularly based on business needs
Operators will understand the mechanics of how to operate various types of equipment with confidence
Types of equipment include but are not limited to, labeler, filler machines, air pumps, high speed dispersers, air mixers, and weight scales within the department
Solve routine problems associated with job responsibilities
Ensures the highest product quality possible while adhering to all safety, environmental and work rules
