You will work closely with experienced Body Technicians and Auto Body Painters, gaining valuable hands-on experience in professional collision repair and refinishing.

What You'll Do
Sand, feather-edge, and prepare repaired surfaces for primer and paint
Perform detailed surface preparation to ensure smooth, high-quality paint finishes
Mask vehicles, trim, glass, panels, lights, and surrounding components
Perform light body repair, including minor dent repair and body filler application
Apply primer and guide coats as required
Identify surface imperfections and correct preparation issues before painting
Clean, degrease, and prepare surfaces for paint application
Assist Auto Body Painters with paint booth preparation and setup
Stage materials, tools, and equipment for refinishing operations
Maintain sanding, masking, and paint preparation tools
Keep the body shop and work areas clean, organized, and efficient
Follow all company safety procedures, PPE requirements, and shop standards
What We're Looking For
Hands-on experience in auto body repair, collision repair, paint preparation, or automotive refinishing
Experience with sanding, masking, feather-edging, surface preparation, and body filler
Familiarity with primers, guide coats, sanding blocks, DA/power sanders, and other prep tools
Strong understanding of how proper surface preparation affects the final paint finish
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Ability to follow repair and refinishing procedures accurately
Ability to work independently while also supporting Body Technicians and Painters
Dependable, safety-conscious, and willing to learn new refinishing techniques
Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
Preferred Qualifications
