Westmor Industries is seeking a detail‑oriented Paint Prep Technician to support our night shift production team. Responsibilities
Surface Preparation
Sand surfaces using an air sander
Apply sand poly and primer
Verify removal of spatter and slag
Apply filler to achieve a smooth, paint‑ready finish
Measurement & Documentation
Measure pre‑ and post‑sand dry mill thickness
Record measurements using proper devices
Complete all required paperwork accurately
Equipment Maintenance
Perform daily maintenance on paint prep equipment
Clean paint booths and lights
Change filters as needed
Keep the paint prep area organized and production‑ready
Safety & Operation
Identify and mask areas not designated for paint
Safely operate tuggers, lifts, and other machinery
Wear proper PPE and follow all safety procedures
Coordination & Organization
Coordinate workflow with team members
Maintain a clean, orderly, and efficient work area
Compensation
- The starting pay range for this position is $18 - $22 per hour. Final compensation will depend on various factors including: skills, experience, and location.
- Night shift positions receive an additional $3 per hour shift differential
Night Shift: 4:30pm - 5:00am, Mon - Thurs
