Position Overview
We are seeking a dependable Paint Prep Helper to support paint preparation and masking operations in a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for preparing parts for painting, maintaining product flow, and ensuring materials are properly organized throughout the paint process.

The ideal Paint Prep Helper is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.
Required Experience & Skills
High School Diploma or GED preferred
Previous paint prep, manufacturing, or production experience preferred
Ability to read and comprehend written English instructions
Basic math skills required
Ability to follow written and verbal directions
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Good communication and teamwork abilities
Ability to work flexible hours and overtime as needed
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic required
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Read and follow work orders, sketches, and production instructions
Sand, strip, tape, and prepare parts for paint operations
Arrange parts on tables, racks, and staging areas
Move materials through the paint process while maintaining product traceability
Organize workflow to support painters and production schedules
Operate pallet jacks and forklifts when properly certified
Maintain clean and organized paint and racking areas according to 6S standards
Handle customer-supplied products carefully and professionally
Follow all company safety policies and PPE requirements
Support additional paint department duties as assigned
Work Environment
Manufacturing and paint preparation environment
Exposure to noise levels ranging from quiet to loud industrial conditions
Requires use of PPE including eye, ear, foot, and respiratory protection
Frequent standing, walking, bending, and repetitive movement
Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs as needed
Must meet respirator requirements including PFT testing and fit testing
