HTI is Hiring – Paint Process Technician (Automotive Manufacturing)
HTI is hiring a Paint Process Technician for a leading automotive manufacturing facility. If you have experience working with paint systems, robotics, and production processes—and want strong pay on a steady 2nd shift—this is a great opportunity to step into a critical production role.
As a Paint Process Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing the paint production process to ensure quality, efficiency, and uptime:
Monitor and maintain paint processes including robots, booths, and water treatment systems
Analyze process deviations and implement corrective actions to improve equipment performance and OEE
Start up, operate, and shut down paint lines safely according to production schedules
Perform basic maintenance (Level 1) on paint equipment and robotics
Troubleshoot paint defects and support root cause analysis and corrective actions
Ensure compliance with quality standards and paint application requirements
Optimize paint consumption including primers, basecoat, clear coat, and solvents
Support continuous improvement initiatives and process optimization efforts
Maintain a strong focus on safety (HSE/LOTO standards) and operational discipline
What You Need
We’re looking for process-driven technicians who understand manufacturing flow and quality:
2–3 years of experience in painted parts production or similar manufacturing environment
Technical background in mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, or pneumatics
Experience with robotics and paint application systems preferred
Strong problem-solving skills using structured methods (POMS/A3 preferred)
Ability to monitor processes, identify issues, and act quickly
Solid computer skills for tracking and reporting
Team-oriented mindset with strong communication skills
