    Description

Summit Truck Bodies is looking for a Paint Robotic Programmer to monitor robots throughout the paint process and ensure quality and function.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Resolve repetitive quality defects through investigation and corrective action.
    • Conduct software updates and calibrations.
    • Ability to start machine, engage feed, transfer or spray applications, and observe operation.
    • Inspects and measures product to verify conformance to specifications.
    • Moves machine controls and guides to adjust machine.
    • Program robot pathways and application controls.
    • Perform routine preventative maintenance on robots.
    • Provide immediate corrective action to robot faults.
    • Engages equipment and observes spray applications.
    • Demonstrates responsibility for safety, quality and production.
    • Maintain all required records.
    • Follow all safety procedures.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Requirements

    WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL ABILITIES:

    • Frequent mobility and / or sitting, standing, bending or stooping for prolonged / extended periods.
    • Requires lifting up to 50 pounds frequently.
    • Requires stretching to reach items up to 50 pounds.
    • Requires working in areas which are not ventilated or air-conditioned.
    • Requires eye-hand coordination sufficient to operate machinery.
    • Requires exposure to chemicals and solvents.
    • Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
    • Requires working under stressful conditions or working irregular hours.
    • Requires working in a fast-paced environment
    • Requires a normal range of hearing and vision
    • Must understand vague and implicit instructions and react favorably in all work situations
    • Must be able to communicate providing verbal feedback in a professional manner

    REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

    • High School diploma or equivalent.
    • Valid driver's license with good standing MVR.
    • 1 year of experience in robotic painting or related role preferred.
    • Certified for all robotic painting operations, methods, and processes preferred.
    • Excellent creativity, problem solving, and analytical skills.
    • Ability to utilize a computer with basic software skills.
    • Ability to successfully pass a General Abilities Assessment and Post-offer background check, physical and drug screening.
