SUMMARY
The Paint Tech is responsible for safely supporting Morton Industries paint and coating processes to ensure finished parts meet established quality, appearance, and production standards. This position prepares parts for coating, operates or supports paint-line equipment, monitors product quality, and maintains a clean and organized work area.
The Paint Tech follows work instructions and production requirements, identifies quality or equipment concerns, handles materials appropriately, and works as part of the production team to safely deliver quality products on time.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing this job, the employee regularly works in a manufacturing and paint/coating environment and may be exposed to moving mechanical equipment, fumes or airborne particles, paint and coating materials, chemicals, and elevated noise levels. Appropriate personal protective equipment must be worn as required. PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk for extended periods; use hands and fingers to handle, position, hang, remove, operate, or feel materials and equipment; reach with hands and arms; and communicate and hear in a manufacturing environment. The employee may occasionally stoop, kneel, or crouch; regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds; and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The position requires close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
