Job Title: Paint Shop Technician
Location: Central City, NE
Pay: $20.00+/hr (based on experience)
Shift: 1st Shift
Schedule: Monday Friday 7: 00 AM 5: 00 PM + rotating Saturdays 7: 00 AM 12: 00 PM
Position Overview
In this role, you ll be responsible for applying paint and coatings to parts and surfaces using air spray equipment. You ll play a key role in ensuring high-quality finishes, proper coverage and adherence to safety and production standards.
What You ll Do
Operate air spray guns to apply paint, primer and coatings
Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, masking and degreasing
Mix paints and coatings according to specifications
Adjust spray equipment for proper pressure, flow and coverage
Inspect finished products for quality, consistency and defects
Clean and maintain spray guns, hoses and related equipment
Follow work orders, blueprints and job specifications
Use proper PPE including respirators, gloves and goggles
Maintain a clean and organized workspace
Handle and dispose of materials according to safety guidelines
What You Bring
Previous experience with industrial painting or spray guns preferred (but not required)
Basic understanding of surface prep and paint mixing
Strong attention to detail and hand-eye coordination
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Willingness to follow safety procedures and instructions
Reliable and team-oriented mindset
Physical & Work Environment
Ability to stand for extended periods
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Comfortable working around fumes, noise and protective equipment
Industrial paint shop setting with proper ventilation and safety measures
