Industrial Painter

Shift: 1st Shift (6:00am–2:00pm)
Pay: $25–$30/hour (based on experience)
Location: Cudahy, WI

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Painter to join our 1st shift Paint Team. This role is critical to ensuring the quality, durability, and professional finish of steel fabrications produced for a wide range of OEM clients. If you take pride in your craftsmanship, have strong attention to detail, and thrive in a team-oriented environment, we want to hear from you.

Position Overview:

The Industrial Painter is responsible for mixing paints to exact customer specifications, priming and finishing steel fabrications, and ensuring proper dry film thickness. All parts are blasted to a minimum SPC-6 finish and require masking and protection of machined surfaces and threaded holes. As the final inspector in the production process, the painter plays a vital role in ensuring safety, quality, and reliability of every part we ship.

Key Responsibilities
  • Mix paints accurately to meet customer requirements.
  • Prime and finish paint steel fabrications efficiently while achieving required dry film thickness.
  • Mask and protect machined surfaces and threaded holes before painting.
  • Perform visual inspections as the last quality check before products leave the department.
  • Conduct routine equipment maintenance, keep painting tools in proper working condition, and troubleshoot issues when needed.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace.
  • Ensure all work meets high quality and safety standards, recognizing that many parts are critical structural components.
  • Communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors regarding any quality or process concerns.
Qualifications
  • Several years of experience painting steel fabrications (required).
  • Strong knowledge of paint mixing, priming, finishing, and film thickness requirements.
  • Ability to work with repetitive product lines as well as one-time custom fabrications.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work cooperatively within a team.
  • Reliable attendance and a positive, respectful attitude every day.
  • Commitment to maintaining a clean and organized work area.
