Job Description
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, blasting, masking, and applying
- fillers as needed.
- Mix and apply paints, primers, and coatings using spray guns and other application
- Apply industrial coatings to metal parts and fully assembled heavy equipment.
- Inspect finished surfaces to ensure proper coverage, thickness, and quality standards.
- Maintain paint equipment, booths, and tools in safe working condition.
- Follow all safety procedures related to hazardous materials and ventilation systems.
- Read and interpret work orders, technical drawings, and coating specifications.
- Perform touch-ups and rework as necessary.
- Track materials usage and maintain accurate production records.
- Collaborate with fabrication and assembly teams to meet production deadlines.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED (required).
- 2+ years of experience in industrial or automotive painting (heavy equipment experience
- preferred).
- Knowledge of surface preparation, coating applications, and finishing techniques.
- Ability to use spray painting equipment and related tools.
- Basic understanding of OSHA safety standards and hazardous material handling.
