About the Role:

Join CBRE as a Commercial Painter supporting a premier client site in Santa Clara, where your craftsmanship will have a direct impact on maintaining a safe, professional, and high-quality workplace environment. In this hands-on role, you'll perform commercial painting, surface preparation, repairs, and specialty coating applications while helping keep facilities looking their best. You'll work with a supportive facilities team, utilize a variety of trade skills, and leverage work order technology to manage and complete projects efficiently. This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.

What You'll Do:

  • Conduct routine maintenance inspections, diagnose potential problems, and make repairs.
  • perform interior preparation, painting, touch-up and finishing in areas in need of commercial level painting.
  • Working under close supervision, utilize several trade skills such as patching, painting and finishing.
  • Use necessary tools and equipment to complete duties related to the application of varnish, polyurethane, primer paint and other specialty coatings.
  • Repair and remodel imperfections including masking, preparing, and protecting surfaces to ensure facilities are properly maintained.
  • Review assigned work orders and estimate the time and materials needed to complete repairs. Work with CMMS/Work Order Management system to manager and track completion.
  • Ensure that all tools and equipment are thoroughly cleaned, stored, and maintained for optimum performance and safety.
  • Inspect new or existing installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations. Report violations to Management.
  • Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems while having a limited opportunity to exercise discretion.
  • Impact through clearly defined duties, methods, and tasks are described in detail.
  • Deliver own output by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance.

What You'll Need:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1-2 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
  • Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
  • Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.

The minimum salary for the Painter position is $34 per hour and the maximum salary is $38 per hour. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience. This role will provide the following benefits: 401(K), Dental insurance, Health insurance, Life insurance, and Vision insurance.
