Painter/Drywall Finisher

Location: This is an on-site field position based in Monroe, Louisiana. Employees will work at residential and commercial project sites throughout Monroe and surrounding Northeast Louisiana communities

Brown's Construction Services is a growing residential and commercial construction company specializing in remodeling, painting, drywall, flooring, and interior finishes. For more than ten years, our team has delivered quality craftsmanship, dependable service, and clear communication while working to create generational change for our employees, clients, and communities.

We are seeking an experienced Painter/Drywall Finisher who can confidently perform both trades. Candidates may be stronger in one area, but they must have practical experience painting and finishing drywall. This is not an entry-level position; you should be able to join the field team and contribute with minimal training.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare walls, ceilings, trim, and other surfaces for finishing.
• Hang, tape, mud, sand, and finish drywall to a professional standard.
• Apply primer, paint, stains, and specialty finishes.
• Match textures and repair damaged drywall and painted surfaces.
• Protect floors, furnishings, and surrounding work areas.
• Complete work on residential remodels and commercial build-outs.
• Follow project specifications, safety procedures, and quality standards.
• Maintain clean, organized, and professional job sites.
• Travel between multiple project locations when required.
• Communicate clearly with supervisors, coworkers, and clients.

Qualifications

• At least 2-3 years of professional painting and drywall-finishing experience.
• Working knowledge of both painting and drywall finishing is required.
• Experience in residential or commercial construction.
• Ability to produce clean, consistent, high-quality finishes.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a field team.
• Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
• Reliable transportation to project locations throughout Monroe and surrounding Northeast Louisiana is required.

Pay and Benefits

• Full-time, W-2 employment.
• Pay:$18 - $23 starting hourly rate, based on experience and qualifications.
