    Summary:
    Spray paint and finish components and parts, per planning and blueprint needs, while meeting quality, cost, and delivery requirements.
     
    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Perform painting and finishing related activities that meet company standards and customer expectations. 
    • Follow standard operating procedures when using tools and spray painting systems
    • Properly care for and maintain shop equipment and paint sprayer
    • Follow standard operating procedures when using sealants, paint strippers, and corrosive preventative chemicals
    • Read and interpret blueprints, work order requirements, and engineering documentation
    • Comply with all safety rules and procedures.

Must be detail oriented and able to handle more than one task at a time, making sure that each task is followed through to completion.
     
    Education/Experience:
    High school diploma or general education degree (GED), one to three years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
     
    Certificates and Licenses:
    Ability to pass a physical exam to determine pulmonary function in order to obtain respirator certification.
     
    Supervisory Responsibilities:
    None
     
    Computer Skills:
    Must be computer literate in Windows
     
    Language, Math, and Reasoning Ability:
    Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, drawings, and procedure manuals. . Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
     
    Ability to speak effectively before groups employees of the organization. Must be able to communicate effectively, both written and verbal, and have better than average interpersonal skills. Ability to accomplish the following mathematically, in all units of measure: add, subtract, multiply, divide, whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, percent, and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form, and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
     
    Physical Demands:
    The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. 
     
    While performing the duties of this position the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, climb/balance, reach, talk, and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
     
    Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision.
