Painter Helper - Night Shift

Job TitleJob DescriptionCore ResponsibilitiesAssist painters with surface preparation (cleaning, sanding, grinding, masking)Mix paints, coatings, and solvents according to specificationsMaintain and clean spray equipment, brushes, and toolsHelp apply coatings to equipment, pipes, and structural componentsMove materials and parts in and out of the paint areaEnsure proper labeling and storage of chemicals and materialsSafety & ComplianceFollow all safety procedures, especially when handling chemicals and solventsWear required PPE (respirators, gloves, coveralls, eye protection)Assist in maintaining a clean, hazard-free work environmentComply with environmental and workplace regulationsWork EnvironmentIndustrial shop or fabrication yardExposure to fumes, noise, and heavy equipmentPhysically active role (lifting, standing, bending for long periods)Basic RequirementsHigh school diploma or GED (often preferred, not always required)Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a teamBasic knowledge of tools and safety practices is a plusWillingness to learn industrial painting techniquesPhysical fitness for manual laborNice-to-Have SkillsExperience with sandblasting or spray paintingFamiliarity with industrial coatings or corrosion protectionForklift or rigging experience
