HOURLY RATE: $31.09
POSITION SUMMARY:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Operate and maintain all sandblasting equipment
Responsible for completing all assigned blasting tasks such as masking/protecting any surfaces from blast media
Requires forklift training, blast media handling and storage
Blast recovery and/or disposal processes
Identification of non-serviceable blast media
Perform Soluble Salt Tests and reference acceptance criteria
Test and document environmental conditions and reference acceptance criteria.
Perform preventative maintenance inspections on personal blast equipment including hose, nozzle, light, hood etc.
Troubleshoot and repair field equipment including, blast pot, dust collector, vacuum, compressor, dehumidifier, etc.
Working knowledge of both airless and conventional spray equipment and techniques
Responsible for completing assigned tasks such as:
Performing SSPC SP1
Masking
Stripe Coating
Maintaining associated painting equipment
Care and identification of serviceable coatings and thinners
Safe work habits
Housekeeping
Manage a daily budget of hours vs. daily output
Flag any production issues that may impact the schedule
Applies coatings to complex structures with minimal to no quality problems
Epoxies and Acrylics
Urethanes and Polysiloxanes
INTERPERSONAL CONTACTS:
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
3 years' experience in industrial sandblasting/painting, or a demonstrated skill set allowing individual to blast/paint to specifications with minimal oversight.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Must demonstrate the ability to obtain the following certifications within two years of hire:

May be exposed to excessive noise, paint gases and fumes, and varying weather conditions. May work in confined spaces or at height. Proper protective equipment will be provided as necessary.
This position may require occasional travel within the greater metropolitan area. Unless approved by the General Manager in advance, mileage accrued within this expected work areas will not be eligible for reimbursement but will be in alignment with Vigor's reimbursement policy.
