Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Industrial Painter to join a growing manufacturing team in Claremore. This position is responsible for preparing surfaces, applying industrial coatings, and ensuring finished products meet customer specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.
The ideal candidate has experience with industrial painting systems, surface preparation, and spray equipment while maintaining a strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
Required Experience & Skills
Previous industrial or commercial painting experience required
Knowledge of coatings, primers, surface preparation, and finishing techniques
Experience operating airless, conventional, or similar industrial spray equipment
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Understanding of safety regulations, PPE requirements, and hazardous material handling
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Ability to work in industrial environments, including heights, confined spaces, and outdoor conditions when required
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, blasting, masking, and priming materials
Apply paints, coatings, and protective finishes using spray equipment, brushes, and rollers
Mix paints and coatings according to manufacturer specifications
Inspect completed work to ensure proper coverage, thickness, appearance, and quality
Read and follow work orders, blueprints, and coating specifications
Ensure coatings cure properly and meet production requirements
Perform routine cleaning and maintenance on painting equipment
Follow all company safety procedures and environmental regulations
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Support production schedules while maintaining high-quality workmanship
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in industrial manufacturing or fabrication environments
Knowledge of coating thickness gauges and quality inspection procedures
Experience with specialized industrial coatings and finishing systems
Forklift or material handling experience is a plus
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and reach throughout the shift
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
Ability to work in environments with fumes, dust, noise, and varying temperatures
Ability to wear respirators, protective clothing, and other required PPE for extended periods
Work Environment
Industrial manufacturing and production facility
Exposure to paints, coatings, solvents, and related materials
