Job Summary
Responsible for performing a range of interior and exterior painting, finishing, and surface preparation duties to maintain the appearance and condition of university facilities and equipment. Duties include preparing surfaces for painting; applying primers, sealers, paints, stains, and protective coatings; matching and selecting paint colors; and painting buildings, furniture, fixtures, athletic field markings, curbs, and other campus structures.
The position also performs minor furniture repairs, removes wallpaper, erects scaffolding and ladders to complete work at elevated heights, and ensures proper protection of surrounding areas during painting projects. Additional responsibilities include maintaining work order documentation, assisting with inventory stocking, supporting snow and ice removal efforts, and performing other related duties as assigned.
