Aero Space Paint Prep Tech Prepare Aircraft Components for a Growing Aerospace Team! 3rd Shift Are you someone who takes pride in detailed, hands-on work? We're looking for a Painter Prep Technician I to help prepare aviation components for painting and finishing. This is a great opportunity for individuals with manufacturing, automotive, aviation, or industrial painting experience who enjoy working in a fast-paced, quality-focused environment. What You'll Do As a Painter Prep Technician I, you will play a critical role in preparing aircraft parts for painting and finishing by:
Cleaning, sanding, masking, and preparing aircraft components for paint application
Following work instructions, quality standards, and safety procedures
Using tools and equipment such as sanders, paint sprayers, and related shop equipment
Handling sealants, paint strippers, and corrosion-prevention materials safely and effectively
Completing required paperwork and documentation accurately
Tracking labor and materials using the company ERP system
Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area
Inspecting work to ensure it meets customer and quality requirements
Working independently and as part of a team to meet production goals
Performing other duties as assigned
What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
At least 1 year of experience in manufacturing, painting, automotive body work, aviation, or a related field
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Good mechanical aptitude and hand skills
Ability to read and follow technical instructions and work procedures
Ability to work independently and collaborate with team members
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
Willingness to work overtime and flexible schedules when needed
Preferred Qualifications
2+ years of paint preparation or related experience
Experience in aerospace, aviation, automotive paint, or industrial finishing environments
Familiarity with paint mixing systems and paint-thinning processes
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and move throughout the shift
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed
Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
Ability to work around paints, solvents, and industrial chemicals in a manufacturing environment
