About Us
We are a growing public works general contractor specializing in commercial, municipal, educational, and government construction projects throughout the Bay Area. We are seeking an experienced, dependable Painter to join our team. This is a position offering prevailing wage work on public works projects.
Position Summary
The Painter is responsible for preparing and painting a variety of interior and exterior surfaces on commercial and public works construction projects. The ideal candidate takes pride in producing high-quality finishes, works safely, and collaborates effectively with project teams to meet project schedules.
Responsibilities
Prepare surfaces by scraping, sanding, patching, caulking, and priming.
Apply paints, stains, sealers, epoxy coatings, and specialty coatings using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.
Paint drywall, concrete, masonry, steel, wood, and other construction materials.
Mask and protect adjacent surfaces prior to painting.
Perform touch-ups and final finish work to meet project quality standards.
Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
Maintain painting tools and equipment in good working condition.
Follow OSHA safety regulations and company safety policies.
Coordinate with superintendents and other trades to maintain project schedules.
Keep work areas clean and organized.
Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of commercial or public works painting experience preferred.
Experience with interior and exterior commercial painting.
Familiarity with epoxy, industrial, and specialty coatings is a plus.
Ability to safely operate airless spray equipment and other painting tools.
Reliable transportation to various job sites throughout the Bay Area.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work on ladders, scaffolding, and lifts.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Valid California driver's license preferred.
