Job Summary and Qualifications

Responsible for finishing, repairing, and maintaining a wide variety of complex finishes of the interior and exterior of the facility. Instructs co-workers o repairs and maintenance of interior and exterior finishes.

  • · Paints walls, doors, frames and other surfaces 
  • · Properly prepares substrates for final finishes.
  • · Accurately matches all existing finishes.
  • · Protects all surroundings and furnishings while performing work.
  • · Installs and repairs vinyl and paper wall coverings 
  • · Carefully prepares surfaces in preparation for wall covering.
  • · Accurately cuts wall covering to size with minimal waste and matches seams.
  • · Repairs damage to walls, doors, ceilings, floors, and other interior building surfaces 
  • · Repairs and maintains unique surfaces such as marble, special wall and floor coverings, stucco, etc
  • · Creates smooth, well matched sheetrock repair joints
  • · Repairs to wall covering are carefully matched for color, pattern texture.
  • · Responsible for repair and maintenance to the exterior façade of the building 
  • · Properly repairs and maintains EIFS, exterior insulating finishing systems.
  • · Maintains removal of graffiti throughout facility.
  • · Paints and maintains traffic markings in drives, parking areas and walkways.
  • · Finish, repair, and touchup hospital furnishing such as millwork and furniture 
  • · Mixes stains and paints to properly match existing finishes.
  • · Work performed with minimal interference to hospital and functions.
  • · Assists purchasing agent in ordering parts and supplies needed for maintenance and repairs 
  • · Fills out parts requisition completely and accurately with approval and turns into purchasing agent
  • · Places orders for supplies well in advance of date needed.
  • · Maintains well stocked inventory of commonly needed supplies
  • · Selects finishes to minimize cleaning and toxic fumes within the facility
  • · Responsible for documentation necessary to maintain records for the facility according to department policy 
  • · Documentation shall be full completed

High School Graduate/Equivalent
