JOB DESCRIPTION & DUTIES

  • Experience or willing and able to learn gun, pump, and other equipment operations and makes adjustments as trained to produce quality parts economically.
  • Follows proper paint procedures including distance from gun to part, flow rates, air pressure, and overlap.
  • Load and move material to work area.
  • May clean and prepare surface of article to be painted.
  • May apply masking tape over parts and areas that are not to be painted.
  • May pour coating liquid into spray container and connect gun to air hose.
  • May identify proper paint via structure information.
  • Identify or learn to identify and troubleshoot paint defects.
  • May inspect parts.
  • Correctly rework parts with paint defects
  • Maintain a clean and properly functioning gun.
  • Troubleshoot equipment.
  • Perform preventative maintenance as scheduled.
  • May perform additional duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Maintains a clean work environment.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and independently
  • Collaborate with warehouse, production, and logistics teams to ensure efficient, safe loading and unloading operations.
  • Ensure safe, timely loading and unloading processes.
  • Able to stand and work on concrete floor for 10 hour shifts
  • Ability to see, hear, and interact verbally with co-workers
  • Ability to use computer screen to enter time and job data using fingers

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
  • Experience with trucks under three tons (i.e. tractors and fork-trucks), mobile crane equipment and overhead cranes.
  • 2 years experience in manufacturing environment preferred.

Schedule:

  • 10-hour shift
  • Day shift or 2nd shift
  • Monday to Friday

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Exposure to dust, fumes, noise and high-degree varying seasonal temperatures. Machinery with energy sources including electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, chemical, or other energy.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential function of this job. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, use hands and fingers, handle, grasp or feel; reach with hands and arms climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

Additional effort requirements consist of, but are not limited to, lifting, pushing and pulling material, stairs, and ladders. When there is an occasion to move heavy material greater than 50 pounds, the operator will request assistance from another team member or utilize provided lifting equipment.
