About Us

Gantri, Inc. is a leader in digital manufacturing, producing innovative, large-scale 3D printed lighting across our Table, Wall, Pendant, and Floor collections. Our Production team handles printing, finishing, assembly, quality control, and packing to deliver high-quality, customer-ready products.

Your Role

As a Painter in Gantri’s Finishing Department, you’ll use your spray painting experience to produce consistent finishes on our lighting components. You’ll work closely with sanding and quality control teammates in a collaborative, fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Shift and Schedule:

  • Regular: Monday–Friday, 2:00pm–10:30pm
  • Initial training: Monday–Friday, 6:00am–2:30pm

Mandatory overtime may be required to support production needs, staff shortages, or unexpected increases in workload.

Core Duties & Responsibilties

  • Set up, adjust, and operate HVLP/LVLP spray equipment to apply primer and top coats
  • Inspect sanded and primed parts before painting; achieve consistent color, coverage, and finish according to work instructions, SOPs, and quality standards
  • Identify and correct defects—including fisheyes, orange peel, and contamination—through troubleshooting, touch-ups, and rework
  • Clean and maintain spray guns, spray booth filters, and related equipment
  • Track finishing supplies and update inventory counts in company systems
  • Collaborate with sanding and QC teammates to resolve finishing issues; report equipment problems, shortages, and quality concerns to supervisors
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow safety protocols for coating handling and protective equipment
  • Cross-train and support Print, QC, Assembly, and other manufacturing functions as assigned to meet daily production goals
  • Embrace Gantri’s values: Drive Impact, Think Critically, Champion Change, Move Fast, and Empower Anti-Fragility

Essential Requirements & Skills

Experience & Background

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience as a production painter in a production or manufacturing setting, with working knowledge of spray guns, booths, and finishing techniques
  • Ability to independently set up, adjust, and maintain spray equipment and identify and correct paint finish defects, including fisheyes, orange peel, and contamination
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Woodworking finishing or automotive body repair and painting experience preferred
  • Basic English skills sufficient to understand safety instructions, follow directions, and communicate essential information

Technical & Interpersonal Skills

  • Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and hand-eye coordination
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and meet quality standards
  • Basic computer literacy for inventory updates and production records
  • Clear communication, teamwork, and adaptability in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Willingness to support different tasks, take initiative, accept feedback, and develop skills
  • Reliable attendance

Physical Requirements

  • Repetitive, hands-on work throughout an 8+ hour shift
  • Standing for extended periods
  • Lifting and moving materials as needed
  • Bending, reaching, and moving throughout the shift

Personal Protective Equipment (Environmental Health & Safety)

  • Wear a respirator during painting and other designated activities, which may extend throughout an 8+ hour shift
  • Wear eye protection and Tyvek coveralls over clothing
  • Complete a company-sponsored medical evaluation for respirator use before fit testing and required use
  • Complete required respirator fit testing and training
