    Description

    Employment Type: Hourly
    Shift: Third  
    Work Arrangement: Onsite 

    Position Summary:

    To ensure finished goods are systematically produced according to production work orders & that all pallets are tagged with finished goods license plates. Validating product counts at time of completion. Catching production defects at time of completion, reducing potential rework in the finished goods warehouse. 

    Major Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Validate product label & code date on cases match production schedule.
    • Count total cases on pallet and complete finished good product against appropriate work order. Apply printed license plate to corresponding pallet.
    • Monitor finished good pallets at point of completion for manufacturing defects i.e. stains, damage, tape / glue failure, etc. Notify Material Handler(s) of any defects to have pallet returned for production rework. 
    • Ensure finished goods are being produced on the correct pallet type  at point of completion, notifying production operators of any deviation. 
    • Additional responsibilities as assigned.

    Education and Experience:

    Required:

    • HS Diploma or equivalent experience

    Preferred:

    • 1 year food warehousing experience. JDE / RF Smart Experience. 

    Knowledge and Skills:

    Preferred:

    • Knowledge of Ventura finished goods product.

    Physical Demands:
    All jobs require sufficient physical strength and dexterity to perform the required task(s) and typically also require at a minimum: intermittent sitting, standing, walking, climbing, squatting, kneeling, pushing, and pulling.  Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds or more with assistance may also be required.  Please see the job description for specific requirements.

    Typical shifts are 8-12 hours per day.   Additional unscheduled time after hours and on weekends may also be required.  Employees must be willing and able to wear personal protective equipment as required by Company policy and/or legal requirements.  In addition, certain jobs may require employees to:

    • Work outside and/or in adverse temperatures which could include extreme heat, cold, and humidity;
    • Be exposed to vibrations, chemicals used in operations, fumes and food allergens (may include soy, dairy and other allergens); and
    • Be required to work in confined and dark spaces, and at heights in excess of 18 feet.
