    Palliative Care APP | Monday–Friday | No Procedures | AdventHealth New Smyrna Beach 

    AdventHealth Medical Group is seeking a compassionate and collaborative Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our established Palliative Care team at AdventHealth New Smyrna Beach in New Smyrna Beach, Florida. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a supportive, patient-centered program dedicated to improving quality of life for patients living with serious illness. 

    The ideal candidate is passionate about palliative medicine, enjoys working in a multidisciplinary environment, and is committed to delivering exceptional, compassionate care to patients and their families. 

    Position Highlights 

    • Join an established hospital-based Palliative Care program 
    • Monday–Friday schedule, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM 
    • No procedures required 
    • Collaborative team environment with experienced physicians and clinical staff 
    • Opportunity to care for patients with complex medical conditions while focusing on symptom management, goals of care, and quality of life

    Responsibilities 

    • Provide comprehensive palliative care consultations and follow-up care for hospitalized patients 
    • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, case management, social work, chaplain services, and other interdisciplinary team members 
    • Assist patients and families with goals-of-care discussions, advance care planning, and symptom management 
    • Develop individualized treatment plans that align with patient values and preferences 
    • Document patient care accurately within the electronic medical record 
    • Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and care coordination

    Qualifications

    • Licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (or eligible for Florida licensure) 
    • Board Certified 
    • Interest or experience in Palliative Care and/or Hospice Medicine 
    • New graduates are welcome to apply if they demonstrate a strong interest in palliative medicine 
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
