Summary / Objective
The Agency Account Manager sits at the heart of Pando Insurance Agency, serving as both a client relationship manager and hands-on execution partner. This role manages client relationships and quoting across both Agency and PEO lines of business while supporting the daily operations that keep the agency running.
Working closely with the Agency Director, you'll manage a book of business, prepare and present benefit materials, assist with open enrollment, coordinate with carrier partners, and support the PEO team as business needs evolve. As the agency grows, so will your ownership of larger clients, key processes, and strategic initiatives.
Essential Functions
Client Management & Service
- Serve as the primary client contact for an assigned book of business while building trusted, long-term relationships.
- Handle client service requests from start to finish, ensuring timely and accurate resolution.
- Prepare benefit quotes, summaries, and presentation materials.
- Present benefit options and recommendations to clients.
- Assist in planning and conducting open enrollment meetings.
- Maintain accurate client records and documentation.
- Manage quoting for both Agency and PEO lines of business.
Quoting & Coverage Expertise
- Develop and maintain expertise in ancillary benefits including dental, vision, group life, short-term disability (STD), long-term disability (LTD), and other employee benefits.
- Translate coverage options into clear, value-driven recommendations for clients.
Partnerships & Carrier Relationships
- Work closely with our General Agency (GA) team to maintain strong partnerships and ensure expectations and timelines are met.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with carrier partners and service teams.
Operations, Strategy & Cross-Functional Support
- Execute and continuously improve agency processes, workflows, and operational tools.
- Participate in strategic discussions as the agency continues to grow.
- Provide support to the PEO team as business needs require.
- Identify operational gaps and recommend improvements that support growth.

Qualifications
- Active Health and Life Insurance License, or the ability to obtain one shortly after hire.
- Experience in employee benefits, insurance, a PEO, or a related industry preferred.
- Familiarity with quoting tools, carrier portals, and benefits administration systems is preferred.
- Comfortable collaborating across payroll, benefits, implementation, and client experience teams.
