    At Steer Automotive Group, we're looking for an experienced Panel Technician / MET Technician to join our growing team in Boston. Whether your expertise is in panel repair, mechanical, electrical and trim (MET) work, or you're multi-skilled across both disciplines, this is an excellent opportunity to build a long-term career with one of the UK's leading accident repair businesses.

    Working in our modern, fully equipped bodyshop in Boston, you'll repair vehicles to manufacturer standards using the latest repair methods and technology, while benefiting from continuous training and genuine career progression.

    What You'll Be Doing

    • Carrying out high-quality panel repairs and/or mechanical, electrical and trim (MET) repairs on a wide range of vehicles
    • Repairing, replacing, and aligning damaged vehicle panels to manufacturer specifications
    • Removing and refitting mechanical, electrical, and trim components safely and efficiently
    • Using modern repair techniques, specialist bodyshop equipment, and manufacturer-approved repair methods
    • Working closely with Paint Technicians, Vehicle Damage Assessors (VDAs), and the wider workshop team to ensure repairs are completed to the highest standard
    • Achieving productivity and quality targets while maintaining excellent attention to detail
    • Following all health and safety procedures and manufacturer repair standards

    What We're Looking For

    • Previous experience as a Panel Technician, MET Technician, Panel Beater, or Vehicle Body Repair Technician within an accident repair centre or bodyshop
    • Experience in panel repair, MET fitting, or both disciplines
    • MIG/MAG welding experience is desirable for panel technicians
    • ATA accreditation (Panel and/or MET) is desirable but not essential
    • Strong technical knowledge with excellent attention to detail
    • A positive, team-focused approach and commitment to delivering exceptional repairs
