Job Title: Panel Shop Assembler

Pay: $23+
Shift: 6:30am to 3:00pm
Job Description
The Panel Shop Assembler builds and wires large, complex control panels used in filtration systems. This role focuses on precise mechanical and electrical assembly, interpreting technical documentation, and using hand and power tools to deliver high-quality, reliable panels in an industrial production environment.
Responsibilities
  • Assemble and wire large, complex control panels for filtration systems according to engineering and production specifications.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, wiring schematics, assembly drawings, and Bills of Materials to complete panel builds accurately.
  • Set up and connect PLC instrumentation and related control components as required.
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools safely and effectively to perform mechanical and electrical assembly tasks.
  • Verify wiring layouts and connections to ensure panels meet design, quality, and safety standards.
  • Follow established production processes and work instructions to meet output and quality targets.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to resolve assembly or wiring issues and improve build processes.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area and adhere to all workplace safety procedures.
Essential Skills
  • Proven experience wiring and assembling electrical control panels, ideally for filtration or similar industrial systems.
  • Ability to read and accurately interpret blueprints, wiring schematics, assembly drawings, and Bills of Materials.
  • Prior PLC instrumentation setup experience.
  • 1-2 years of relevant production experience, or a combination of related experience and education.
  • Proficiency using hand and power tools for mechanical and electrical assembly work.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality in wiring and assembly.
  • Ability to work in an industrial environment and follow safety guidelines.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Two-year technical degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Mechatronics is a plus.
  • Comfort working with complex, interrelated wiring schematics and technical documentation.
  • Basic understanding of industrial control systems and instrumentation.
  • Ability to troubleshoot simple wiring and assembly issues.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks in a production setting.

Work Environment

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pittsburgh, PA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
