Paper Converting Machine Setter/Operator

You’re the go‑to expert keeping a bag line humming. You translate a docket into machine settings, thread the paper, mount cylinders, and balance pressure, tension, and ink so the run starts strong. When something pauses the line, you troubleshoot fast. Throughout the shift, you document quality checks, uphold GMPs and food safety, and leave the area spotless for the next team.
Your mission
- Operate bag converting equipment and auxiliary systems to produce printed, functional paper bags to spec
- Review line orders/dockets; align printing needs with job specifications
- Load paper, size the machine correctly, mount cylinders, and adjust pressure, tension, and ink distribution
- Identify and correct stoppages and mechanical issues
- Execute and record quality inspections and related documentation during production
- Ensure Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and food safety responsibilities are met
- Accurately complete daily production paperwork
- Maintain a safe, orderly workspace
When you’ll work
- Days: 7am – 7pm
- Nights: 7pm – 7am
- 223 schedule
What you bring
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work 12‑hour rotating day/night shifts; overtime as required
- Completion of training courses as assigned by management
