Paper Roll Clamp Forklift Operator
Location: Glen Allen, VA
Schedule: Day shift beginning at 7:00 AM; workdays vary and can include weekends as needed.
A day in this role
At 7:00 AM, you conduct a quick equipment check and step into the driver’s seat of a roll clamp truck. Throughout the day, you maneuver large paper rolls with precision—shuttling them from inbound receiving to storage, and from storage to outbound shipping. You’ll load and unload trailers safely, stage customer orders, and use an RF scanner to record each movement so inventory stays accurate. Between runs, you keep aisles tidy, follow safety protocols to the letter, and lend a hand with other warehouse tasks as assigned.
What you’ll handle
- Operate a roll clamp truck to move large paper rolls throughout the facility
- Transfer products across inbound, storage, and outbound areas
- Load/unload trucks safely and accurately
- Pull and stage orders for customer shipments
- Use an RF scanner to track inventory movements and maintain precise records
- Follow equipment procedures, safety standards, and warehouse guidelines
- Help with housekeeping (cleaning, sweeping, keeping work areas safe)
- Contribute to additional warehouse duties as needed
What you bring
- Hands-on experience operating a roll clamp truck (required)
- Proven ability to run material-handling equipment safely and efficiently
- Familiarity with RF scanners (preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and a focus on accuracy
- Capability to lift, move, and handle materials as job demands
- Willingness to work weekend shifts when required
