Inventory Management
Essential Job Duties:
- Manages the inventory of all par carts and par locations throughout the hospital utilizing hand-held technology, and works with the managers of each department to keep the par cart/location inventory at the lowest possible quantity.
- Inventories and restocks par carts/locations on a daily basis utilizing hand-held technology. Adjusts par levels as needed, and keeps inventory orderly.
- Conducts daily cycle counts.
- Assists with training for other departments in inventory control by utilizing hand-held terminals.
- Assists with inventory counts in other inventory locations, when needed.
- Demonstrates knowledge of restocking storeroom/annex supplies, backdating, event-related supplies and ordering supplies from the Storeroom and outside vendors.
- Utilizes idle time productively to perform cleaning duties and to help in other areas of Materials Management.
- Prepares monthly par cart reports.
- Completes other duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Education: High School Graduate
- Experience: Knowledge of software applications, and proficient with hand-held terminals. Knowledge of medical supplies and medical terminology, and accuracy in cycle counts.
