Paradise Unified School District is excited to launch a brand-new Beginning Strings Instrumental Music class at Paradise High School for the 2026-2027 school year! We are seeking an enthusiastic and talented .2 FTE Beginning Strings Instrumental Music Teacher to help bring this exciting new opportunity to life for our high school students. This position will teach one class per day and is funded through Proposition 28: Arts and Music in Schools, supporting expanded access to arts education for California students. This is a unique opportunity for a music educator who is passionate about building a program from the ground up, inspiring students who may be picking up a string instrument for the very first time, and helping grow the arts within our district. The ideal candidate will bring strong instructional skills, a love for music education, and the ability to create a welcoming, engaging, and encouraging classroom environment for beginning musicians. The teacher will introduce students to foundational string techniques, music reading, ensemble skills, performance etiquette, and the joy of making music together.
