HOURS: Monday through Friday, 6 hours per day plus a half hour unpaid lunch. This is a school year position.
COMPENSATION: Per the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the Dennis-Yarmouth Regional School Committee and the Dennis-Yarmouth Regional Secretaries and Assistants Association located on the DY website.

All paraprofessionals must meet certification requirements as determined by the Every Student Succeeds Act. Individuals with an Associate's degree or higher, or who have obtained 48 credit hours from an accredited higher education institution, have met this requirement and will need to provide a copy of a transcript showing your highest degree earned. The finalpathway to meet this requirement is passing the Massachusetts ParaPro or Workkeys Assessment certification within the first year of employment. SUMMARY: Assists the Speech Language Pathologist to provide speech and language therapy services for students with communication disorders. Work under the direction of a Speech Language Pathologist throughout the District, with students who have communication, emotional, or developmental impairments. The ultimate goal is to improve individuals' communication skills. Support students with a wide range of disabilities such as low-incidence disabilities, autism, social-emotional needs, communication disorders, speech delays and behavioral concerns. SLPA may work in an early education, inclusion setting, substantially separate classroom or home. This may be 1:1 or in a small group.
