    The primary purpose the special education paraeducator is to support learning for identified special education students under the direction of a certificated staff member. Responsibilities vary with individual assignment, but typically include working with students one-on-one or in small groups, implementing behavior management systems, recording student progress data, assisting students with personal hygiene, correcting assignments, administering tests, performing clerical duties, and managing resources.

    • Experience for work in public schools will be granted for prior classroom experience for paraeducator positions or for prior office experience for office.

    Start and end times may vary by location/school schedule.

    Paraeducator Minimum Qualifications:

    To be eligible for employment, candidates must upload to their application:

    • A copy of their high school diploma AND
    • Documentation of one of the following:

    a. A copy of an official college transcript indicating an AA degree or higher OR

    b. 72 quarter or 48 semester credits earned in 100 level and higher courses OR

    c. Official documentation of a passing score on the ETS ParaPro assessment (If you would like information about scheduling an assessment, please contact Human Resources at 425.204.2356)
