Paralegal Studies A.S.; Accounting Technology A.S.; Business Administration Management A.S.; Hospitality Management A.S.; Bachelor of Science Management & Supervision and Bachelor of Science in Project Management at Northwest Florida State College. Adjunct (part-time) instructors are hired on an as-needed, term-by-term (or per course) basis.ResponsibilitiesProvide excellence in Law (BUL, PLA, MAN) course instruction within the Business, Hospitality & Management Department (see course catalog for list of BUL, PLA, MAN courses).Assist in development and evaluation of curriculum as appropriate.Conduct each class according to the approved syllabus.Utilize the approved textbook and/or other instructional materials as approved.Utilize LMS (Canvas and Banner) following college policies and procedures.Submit attendance, midterm and final grades per college policies and procedures.Maintain course grades in LMS and submit grades within an appropriate time.Support students by engaging them in class, answering questions in a timely manner, and referring them for additional support when necessary.Be familiar with and abide by college policies.Treat students and colleagues with respect and understanding of differences.Complete annual mandatory compliance training.Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.RequirementsJuris Doctor degree or Master's in law or closely related field or other master's or higher in business with 18 graduate hours in business law, contracts, labor law, business regulations, legal administration, legal research, or closely related field (Qualified for BUL and PLA courses).Demonstrated evidence of professional development growth through participation in continuing education and other related activities.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Post-secondary teaching experience preferred.Demonstrated success with online teaching preferred.Excellent writing, oral communication, and presentation skills.Goal-driven with the ability to provide reliable insight into opportunities for improvement.*All degrees must be from a regionally accredited postsecondary institution.Additional InformationClassification: Part-Time Adjunct InstructorGrant Funded: NRate of Pay: $2,031 to $2,214 per class (Based on level of degree. Pay rate listed is for a 3 hour credit course).
