A well-established law firm in Akron, Ohio is seeking an experienced Probate Paralegal to support its Trusts & Estates practice. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented paralegal who is comfortable managing probate matters from start to finish and working directly with attorneys, clients, and the probate court.Responsibilities Assist attorneys with all aspects of probate and estate administration mattersPrepare and file probate documents, including applications, inventories, accounts, and distributionsDraft correspondence, pleadings, and routine court filingsManage deadlines, court dates, and calendaring for probate mattersCommunicate with clients, beneficiaries, courts, and financial institutionsOrganize and maintain probate files, both physical and electronicTrack estate assets, expenses, and distributionsEnsure compliance with Ohio probate court rules and proceduresQualifications 2+ years of probate or trust & estate paralegal experience requiredStrong knowledge of Ohio probate procedures and filingsParalegal certificate or equivalent experience preferredExcellent organizational and time-management skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to manage multiple matters independently and meet deadlinesProficiency with legal case management software and Microsoft OfficeBenefits Stable and collegial law firm environmentMeaningful work assisting families through estate administrationCompetitive compensation, commensurate with experienceBenefits package may include health insurance, PTO, and retirement optionsThe annual salary for this position is between $65,000 – $85,000.
