The RoleWe are seeking a Paralegal who will be responsible for providing legal support to Lord Abbett's private credit and real estate funds. This individual will work closely with the attorneys and paralegals on regulatory filings, board preparation, and on various matters. The position requires excellent interpersonal skills, teamwork, and collaboration. The candidate must be a demonstrated self-starter who is highly organized.We'll trust you to:Prepare and coordinate various regulatory filings through systems such as EDGAR, NASAA EFD, and IARD.Draft and file Section 16 filing disclosures for officers, directors, and issuers.Prepare draft written consents, authorized signers, and officer lists.Work with paralegals to update agendas, send requests for materials, review and process board materials, and upload consents and regulatory filings to BoardVantage.Respond quickly and positively to shifting demands and opportunities, with the ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple detailed tasks.Work on filing documents for recordkeeping.Assist with proofreading, drafting, and coordinating signatures as needed.Contribute to tasks and team projects autonomously.Regularly support inquiries and requests from business units, including interfacing with Legal, Risk, Compliance, Tax, Operations, Client Relations, and Product Strategy.Coordinate responses to Know Your Customer, Anti-Money Laundering, and other due diligence requests.Perform legal research, analysis, and assist with ad hoc special projects.Work with various departments to maintain the work‑flow processing of outside counsel/vendor bills.Perform other duties as assigned.You'll need to have:2-4 years' experienceCorporate governance and financial services experienceStrong interpersonal and communication skillsHigh attention to detailStrong time management skills, sound judgment and analysis, respect for confidentiality and organizationThe qualities of a self-starter with excellent problem‑anticipation and ‑solving skillsAbility to work well under pressure, adapt to unexpected events, prioritize and multi‑task in a deadline driven environmentIntellectual curiosity and a willingness to research, ask questions, and develop a deep understanding of new topic areasAbility to manage competing prioritiesProficiency with Microsoft Suite, including Teams, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Adobe AcrobatNJ Notary public preferredBachelor's Degree required#J-18808-Ljbffr
