We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Paralegal with a focus on Civil Litigation to join our dynamic legal team. This role is 100% onsite, providing you with the opportunity to work closely with our team of skilled attorneys. The successful candidate will have a strong background in civil litigation, demonstrating a deep understanding of legal procedures, court regulations, and case law. This position demands a high level of professionalism, the ability to work under pressure, and exceptional organizational skills.
Responsibilities:
1. Assist attorneys in the preparation and filing of all court documents.
2. Conduct thorough statistical/ documentary research.
3. Source and verify important case intelligence.
4. Produce and file various legal documents such as appeals, motions, or petitions.
5. Attend trials and type minutes.
6. Organize and coordinate legal meetings including client interviews, hearings, and depositions.
7. Review and monitor new and updated laws and regulations.
8. Maintain contact with clients and communicate case progress.
9. Support attorneys in case preparation and management before, during, and after the trial.
10. Handle administrative tasks such as managing case files, drafting correspondence, and maintaining calendars.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 1-3 years of experience as a Paralegal in Civil Litigation.
2. Paralegal certification or degree from an accredited program.
3. Proficient in legal research software and MS Office.
4. Familiarity with the preparation of legal documents and correspondence.
5. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
8. High level of professionalism and confidentiality.
9. Detail-oriented with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
10. Proven ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
