LOCATION: Milton Keynes

HYBRID WORKING: Our current hybrid working policy requires a minimum of 60% of working time to be based in the Milton Keynes office however flexibility is expected to meet the needs of the business and the role.

An exciting opportunity to join us as a Paralegal to assist and support our Commercial Laywers working with our commercial business areas and wider Legal team. You may have just finished your law degree or be a practising Paralegal and be looking to build your career.

This key administrative role in the team will be instrumental in supporting the Commercial Layers and our business with legal queries and providing guidance on legal procedures and processes. Youll be able to work with and learn from, our highly capable team.

What you'll be doing:

  • Take ownership of day-to-day legal queries, ensuring instructions are complete, accurate, and delivered within agreed service levels.
  • Be a trusted advisor to the business, providing clear guidance on legal processes and best practice.
  • Deliver concise, commercially focused, risk-based legal advice with confidence and professionalism.
  • Draft, review and negotiate a range of low-risk agreements (including NDAs and funding documents), ensuring they are fit for purpose and legally robust.
  • Lead the end-to-end document execution process-from quality checks to signing and secure storage-ensuring everything is accurate and enforceable.
  • Champion quality by meticulously reviewing legal documents and maintaining high standards across all outputs.
  • Act honestly and with integrity, in accordance with the law and with regulatory requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement by enhancing templates, processes and ways of working within Legal.
  • Build strong relationships across the business and with external counsel to proactively manage legal risk.
  • Empower teams by delivering engaging training on legal processes and practical guidance.
  • Support the smooth running of the Legal function through effective coordination and administrative excellence, including invoice management.
  • Prioritise and manage a varied workload with pace, accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Stay ahead of legal developments, maintaining up-to-date knowledge and continuously building expertise.
  • Collaborate with wider Volkswagen Group legal teams and ensure full compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.

What you'll bring:

You'll have a legal qualification (LLB or the GDL), UK Law degree or, equivalent experience as a paralegal or legal administrator either in-house or in private practise.

You'll have knowledge of the practical application of UK commercial law in a business and, balancing a diverse workload to tight deadlines and regulatory obligations.
