Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for an Employment Law Paralegal for a well-established boutique plaintiff-side employment law firm. This is a full-time, onsite opportunity based in El Segundo, California.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Our client is seeking a Paralegal to support attorneys handling sophisticated plaintiff-side employment litigation, including class action wage and hour matters and individual employment claims. This role provides substantive litigation support throughout all phases of the case, from filing complaints through trial preparation. The ideal candidate is proactive, highly organized, and eager to contribute within a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

PERKS:

• This is an hourly non-exempt eligible for overtime opportunity with a compensation ranging from $30.00-$50.00 per hour DOE

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Support attorneys through all phases of employment litigation, including class action and individual employment matters, from case inception through resolution

• Draft, file, and serve pleadings and other legal documents in California state and federal courts while managing calendaring and litigation deadlines

• Coordinate depositions, hearings, court appearances, court reporters, and prepare hearing binders and case materials

• Maintain organized client and case files, provide client updates, conduct legal research, and assist with case management activities

• Collaborate closely with attorneys and the paralegal team while contributing to a fast-paced, deadline-driven litigation practice

• Serve as a professional point of contact for clients and opposing parties while delivering exceptional client service

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 2+ years of civil litigation paralegal experience; employment law and class action experience are strongly preferred

• Experience with California state and federal court filings, calendaring, litigation procedures, and case management

• Bilingual Spanish is preferred but not required; candidates with strong litigation experience will be considered regardless of language skills

• Strong organizational, communication, drafting, and time management skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively

• Stable employment history, proactive work ethic, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced plaintiff-side litigation environment
