Job DescriptionThe Jimenez Law Firm is seeking an experienced Paralegal to join their team. The firm has locations in Lewisville, Flower Mound, and Odessa, Texas.Ideal litigation paralegal candidates will have a minimum of 5 years' experience handling family, probate, or civil litigation matters.ResponsibilitiesThe litigation paralegal will be responsible for preparing preliminary drafts of pleadings, discovery, and correspondence; maintaining calendars, deadlines and reminders for attorneys; preparing, organizing, and filing documents; assisting in scheduling and preparation for hearings, depositions, and mediation; and ensuring timely e‑filing in state courts.Requirements5+ years' experience as a paralegal handling family, probate, and/or civil litigation mattersInterview potential clients, meet with attorneys, and assist in determining case strategyClient‑focused, team‑orientated, and self‑motivatedWork up and maintain case files; draft and prepare legal documents, pleadings, and orders for various family law mattersDraft discovery requests and responses; manage clients to ensure discovery deadlines are metPrepare attorneys for trials and mediation; attend trials as necessaryManage policy deliverables and workload tracking, including regulatory filings and project management supportPrioritize workload with flexibility and attention to detailKnowledge of Texas Family Code, Texas Rules of Civil Procedure, and applicable law researchExcellent communication, listening, and interpersonal skillsEfficient use of systems and procedures, with a strong sense of organizationInitiate and diligently see tasks to completionCommit to continuing education in family law issuesAccess online court systems and research tools; meet billing requirements of 1200 billable hours per yearComputer literacy and experience with standard office equipment and software; handle large case loadsProficiency in drafting pleadings, discovery, orders, and electronic filingKnowledge of bankruptcy and the federal PACER system is a plusIntermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Office (Word and Outlook)BenefitsStandard holidaysPaid time off401(k)Job Type: Full‑time#J-18808-Ljbffr
