Job Summary

The Paralegal provides legal and administrative support to the Legal department by assisting with document preparation, contract review, legal research, and matter coordination. This role supports attorneys in managing legal workflows, maintaining corporate records, and ensuring accuracy and compliance in legal documentation and processes. The Paralegal operates with a high level of organization and attention to detail to support efficient legal operations.

Essential Functions

  • Provides general legal support to attorneys, including preparation, review, and organization of legal documents and correspondence.
  • Drafts and reviews routine contracts, agreements, and other legal documents under attorney guidance.
  • Conducts legal research and compiles information to support legal matters and business initiatives.
  • Maintains corporate records, legal files, and documentation in accordance with organizational and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinates legal workflows, including tracking matters, deadlines, and deliverables.
  • Assists with contract management processes, including document routing, execution, and recordkeeping.
  • Communicates with internal stakeholders to gather information and support legal processes.
  • Supports compliance with organizational policies, legal standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintains confidentiality of sensitive legal and business information.
  • Manages multiple priorities while meeting deadlines and maintaining accuracy.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
  • Complies with all policies and standards.

Qualifications

  • Associate Degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, or related field required
  • A combination of education and relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • 5-7 years of progressively responsible paralegal or legal support experience, including experience supporting corporate legal functions such as contracts, corporate governance, or regulatory matters required
  • Experience drafting, reviewing, and coordinating legal documents and managing legal workflows required
  • Experience in a corporate, healthcare, or law firm environment preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Demonstrates knowledge of legal terminology, contract structures, and corporate legal processes.
  • Applies strong analytical and problem-solving skills to support legal research, document review, and issue identification.
  • Communicates effectively with attorneys and internal stakeholders, including the ability to translate legal concepts into clear, practical information.
  • Maintains strong organizational skills and attention to detail when managing legal documents, records, and deadlines.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in legal systems, contract management tools, and standard business applications.

Licenses and Certifications

  • Certified Paralegal required
