The Corporate Paralegal supports the General Counsel and Chief Executive Officer by delivering essential legal and administrative assistance across a variety of corporate, litigation, employment, and real estate matters. Our ideal candidate has experience supporting attorneys and executives in all facets of legal operations, organizing case files, conducting legal research, preparing, reviewing, and managing legal documents, communicating with outside counsel, litigation management, and insurance claim management. This position plays a critical role in performing tasks within a high-volume, complex, and productive legal team, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of legal operations, and improving efficiency and processes within our legal department.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in civil or commercial litigation and/or corporate law
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to maintain, organize, and assist with numerous legal files across several states
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritize competing responsibilities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining excellency and timeliness
  • Ability to stay abreast of changing laws, regulations, and procedural requirements
  • Must exercise discretion with confidential and sensitive information

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Paralegal certificate from an ABA approved program
  • Experience in the following areas of law: real estate, property management, construction, insurance, corporate governance, or corporate transactions
  • Experience with accounting or bookkeeping
  • Familiarity with basic documents associated with real estate and loan financing
  • Familiarity with drafting and reviewing vendor contracts, services agreements, confidentiality agreements, purchase agreements, and other form contracts
  • Knowledge of corporate formation, governance, structure, and compliance

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Litigation Support:

  • Assist with all litigation, including fact investigation, discovery, and document production
  • Coordinate with outside counsel
  • Manage, investigate, and assist with insurance claims
  • Organize and maintain electronic files, systems, processes, and checklists
  • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders, vendors, and counsel to facilitate effective, efficient, and timely case management
  • General and Executive Administrative Support:
  • Maintain and meet critical deadlines
  • Assist executives with various tasks as assigned
  • Contract Preparation and General Corporate:
  • Draft and review contracts across industries including vendor agreements, real estate, NDAs, construction, leasing, procurement, and management
  • Assist with negotiating contracts and subcontracts
  • Contract lifecycle management
  • Assist with entity formation, corporate governance, compliance, and annual filings
