The Paralegal - Immigration will support the practice group by managing immigration-related casework, preparing legal documents, and assisting attorneys, This role requires exceptional organizational skills and a detail-oriented mindset to ensure compliance with regulations.

Client Details

This role is with a full-service, national law firm with over 450 attorneys across 18 offices and specializes across corporate, transactional, and litigation work. This role can be based in Chicago or Miami.

Description

  • Prepare and organize immigration case filings, including visa applications and petitions.
  • Conduct legal research and ensure compliance with all relevant immigration laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with attorneys to draft legal documents and correspondence.
  • Maintain accurate case records and track deadlines for filing and document submissions.
  • Communicate with clients to gather necessary documentation and provide case updates.
  • Assist with case strategy planning and provide administrative support for hearings or interviews.
  • Ensure confidentiality and security of all legal documentation and client information.
  • Stay updated on changes in immigration law and policy to provide informed support.

Profile

A successful Paralegal - Immigration should have:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with employment-based immigration for a law firm.
  • Bachelor's degree in paralegal studies or a paralegal certificate preferred
  • A strong understanding of immigration law and legal processes.
  • Proficiency in legal research and document preparation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
