Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Legal Assistant/Paralegal to join our landlord‑tenant law firm. This legal support role puts you at the center of our practice, working directly with attorneys on case management, legal drafting, and litigation calendar management.ResponsibilitiesActively manage the firm's litigation calendar, including court dates, filing deadlines, statutory notice periods, and post‑hearing obligations.Review minute orders and identify additional court‑imposed deadlines or requirements.Ensure all pre‑hearing filings are completed on time — declarations, status briefs, notice of rulings, trial documents, and related materials.Draft legal documents including discovery requests and responses, opposing motions, notices, and correspondence.Stay sufficiently versed in active cases to discuss litigation strategy, anticipate needs, and take initiative.Coordinate with attorneys to divide and execute tasks; not just flag what needs to be done, but take ownership of getting it done.Follow up with clients and opposing parties to gather information and keep matters on track.Support attorneys with scheduling, deadlines, and day‑to‑day case management needs.Cross‑train on firm operations to provide coverage and continuity as needed.What We're Looking ForPrior experience in civil litigation.Strong reading comprehension; ability to quickly absorb and apply dense legal documents, statutes, and case materials.Exceptional attention to detail.Customer service mindset: patience, clarity, and reliability in every client interaction.Proactive initiative, staying ahead of open items and not waiting to be directed.Prior legal experience is a plus, but the right instincts and work ethic matter most.Compensation & DetailsThis is a full‑time, in‑office position.
