Americo is hiring a full-time Paralegal to join our expanding team!The hours for this position are Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM, on site at our downtown Kansas City, MO office location.OverviewThe Legal department is responsible for supporting corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and legal operations across the organization. This role supports internal legal counsel, business partners, and external regulatory agencies and plays a key role in maintaining corporate records, managing filings, and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements within established guidelines and service level expectations.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain corporate and regulatory filing calendars to ensure timely compliance.Prepare, process, and track state, local, and regulatory filings with Secretaries of State and Departments of Insurance.Draft legal documents, including governing documents, secretary certificates, board consents, and meeting minutes.Maintain corporate records, minutes, and entity documentation.Provide administrative and paralegal support to multiple attorneys, including scheduling, expense reporting, and travel coordination.Gather documents and respond to subpoenas, legal processes, and claims-related matters.Support vendor and contract management processes, including digital signature administration.Review and process incoming legal mail and documentation.Communicate and collaborate with internal business and operational partners.Required QualificationsMinimum of 35 years of corporate paralegal experience in a law firm or in-house legal department.Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.Understanding of corporate governance practices, entity management, and legal department operations.Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities independently.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.High level of integrity, professionalism, and ethical judgment.Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization.Preferred QualificationsExperience within the insurance industry or a regulated environment.Familiarity with compliance and regulatory filing processes.Understanding of litigation processes and handling litigation-related documents.Experience managing complex organizational or entity structures.Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.Registered Paralegal (RP) certification.#J-18808-Ljbffr
